Tahina Ralitera holds an engineering degree (2015) and a Master's degree (2016) in computer science. She is currently in her second year of PhD in computer science at the Laboratoire d'Informatique et de Mathématiques (LIM) of the University of Reunion Island, France. Her thesis is supervised by Pr Rémy Courdier et Dr Denis Payet

Her works focus on development of agent-based models and simulations of electric vehicle mobility in cities and islands. Such simulation models can be used as decision support tools for smart cities and smart islands design and planning.
She is a laureate of the France l'Oréal-Unesco for women and science fellowship 2017 Her thesis is supported by the Région Réunion, the Saint-Denis City Council and the L'Oréal-UNESCO French Fellowship For Women in Science.
